A Krafts Peak at a new release from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

Floral Fun

I really had fun coloring this floral fun stamp set!

I first stamped it with versamark ink and then used some really old (like 30 years old) gold embossing powder from stampin up. The embossing created a nice border that helped me stay within the lines as I colored with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers!

I embossed a white panel for the background using an embossing folder for my background and brought in a sheet of gold metallic paper and some gold embellishments and that finished my card!

I’ve included more details about the release below:

Scrappy Challenge – Anything but a Card

Today I participated in a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp Challenge and you can make anything but a card.

As I was thinking what am I going to make, I remembered I had some of the dollar store $1.25 frames with bead hangers so I decided that is what I would make!

Take it slow

I had been wanting you to color the little girl in the Talk to the Animals stamp set from https://www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com/ so I stamped it out and grabbed by Tri Blend markers and colored away! It was fun!

I also ink blended my background panel and then added my little scene.

I chose the sentiment to remind myself to take it slow!

Then I decided to hang it in the grandkids bathroom, I thought they would enjoy looking at it!

What me make it here:

A 5×7 Fancy Fold!

I rarely make 5×7 cards but wanted to do something different for episode 190 of Craft Roulette.

Fancy Fold

I used Spellbinders Birds and the Bees Blacked Eyed Susan Die to adorn this card. Because the parameters for this card required aquarium colors I used some Spellbinders Patterned Paper Under the Sea. I used a couple of different stamp sets for my sentiment.

While I don’t make many 5×7 cards there are certainly times that they are better suited for the material I am working with!

I hope you like this and will consider alternative card sizes and fancy folds!

Paper Scraps…

Can take over your desk or craft space! At some point you have to deal with this! This is exactly what I did this weekend!

I decided to throw them into a pile and start making some card panels for future use. So I got my camera out and began videoing.

Taking control

Spoiler alert…I couldn’t stop so I turned all of these and two more into cards! Check out the video for a great way to make scraps into something useful!

Thanks for watching!

Patterned Paper

I had just a small strip of this floral paper left but wanted to make it the focal point for my card! The paper comes from Simon Says Stamp Be Happy kit. This floral paper is soft and sweet and does make me happy!

Daisies as a focal point

The elements of this card includes a trifold which is created by taking a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2 “ piece of card stock and scoring the long end at 2 1/8 and at 6 1/8 and folding along the score lines. In addition to the trifold, I’ve layered three sets of paper and embossed the middle paper (Spellbinders partly cloudy) with the Criss Cross embossing folder included within the kit. The hello sentiment is the Basic Trio set from SSS as well.

It’s a simple card but would work for a multitude of occasions!

Watch me make it here: Using up your pattern paper is so Good! Playing along with @CraftRoulette #180 this card is cute!

Color

Is what makes these card stand out!

I’ve used this Spellbinders die set many times in the traditional manner however; I’ve recently broadened my thinking about color and came up with some delightful cards!

Pink
Orange

The pink trifold cards has two patterns from the Spellbinders Oh What Fun paper and a pink belly band. The Sentiment comes from Spellbinders Wonderful Christmas stamp set.

The Orange card features Spellbinders Make It Merry kit paper along with the Stylized Trellis embossing folder and emphera.

I hope you have fun with color too! Watch me make the pink card!
